    BBC's long standing celebrity-fronted charity appeal series. The 10 minute films on each charity are a kind of mini documentary highlighting what it is each charity does - often with heart-breaking stories. The idea is to raise as much as possible for the charities concerned. More than £250 million has been raised so far by the programme over the last 20 years. The films are self shot on DV and the links with the celebs are generally filmed on location with crews. Several films a year are on overseas charities often in Africa and Asia and these are all self-shot.
