    Studio Management - Studio Coordinator,  June 2010 - To Date
    I take responsibility for scheduling the scenic services department across all TLS projects, and act as secondary client manager on projects including 'The Alan Titchmarsh Show', 'The Chase', and 'Duran Duran: For One Night Only'. Responsibilities include finding solutions to meet clients crewing requirements, dealing with initial enquiries for studio hire, and providing ad-hoc support to the studio managers.

    First Class, BA (Hons) Media Arts with Drama and Performance
    At university I explored interests in TV Production and Online Culture, which culminated in an independent research project entitled 'Public Service Futures; The BBC in the New Media Age'. My study examined the changes in audience demands, and the challenges facing traditional broadcasters in a society dominated by on-demand media and new forms of interaction. Using Director General Mark Thompson's 2005 speech on the 'Creative Future' of the BBC, I studied the Corporations proposals and concluded that new media presents an opportunity for the BBC to overcome the restrictions of traditional forms of broadcasting.

    Skills

    Organisation - I consider myself to be a well organised person, and in my role as studio resource planner have learnt to organise a large team of people too. I always plan when possible and am careful to ensure I fully understand what needs to be done in advance.

    Communication -     I have enjoyed excellent working relationships, and believe I am able to communicate clearly with, and take instruction from, both colleagues and senior figures.

    New Media - I have a good awareness of internet culture and online trends. See education for more information about my degree specialism.

    Pressure - I work best when faced with a challenge, and can make fast effective decisions to get a job done. As a runner with TLS I was given sole responsibility for Al Jazeera Sport, a client responsible for broadcasting LIVE European and International Football 7-Days a week. This was a particularly high pressure project, prone to last minute schedule changes, script edits, and air-times.

    Production Assistance - Experience with general office assistance including filing, logging, archiving, transcripting, and post-production including digitising. I have a good telephone manner, and a extensive contact list of freelancers, agencies and equipment hire companies.

    Technical (Studio) - Good broad knowledge of studio practices and processes. Experience assisting Floor Managers and Camera Operators on the floor. Good understanding of equipment, and confident in ability to patch feeds.

    Technical (IT & Design) - Familiar with Windows 7 and Mac Leopard OS. Fully conversant with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Publisher. Good eye for design and confident ability using Adobe InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash and Photoshop CS3.
