Head of Edit Department responsible for technical and creative delivery of all promos, stings, on-screen graphics and up-keep of the tapeless edit suites. Liaised with and directed our external high-end 3D graphics and voiceover teams. Worked with composers to develop music for the channel. Heavily involved in all aspects of the successful launch of the channel. Helped out with studio operations when required.

Offline/Online Editor working across 14 music, film, children's and entertainment channels. Edited music magazine show 'B4' for daily broadcast on Channel 4. Produced promos, film trailers, competitions, interviews and short features on a daily basis. Created 30 minute - 1 hour specials from music festivals and other special events. Recorded and mastered voiceovers in the in-house studio. Worked creatively from very basic scripts to a very tight timescale.

Worked as part of a team on a mass encoding project for universal. Encoded from Beta's, D2's, and 1inch tapes to 50i frame mpeg-2s. Transcoded and delivered files for use on the iTunes website and other external clients. Managed large library of encoded material. Received in-house New Media VT Op training.

Sent by Ascent Media to help with the new encoding system at partner Discovery Europe. Worked with the head of department, providing suggestions as to how the ready-to-air ingest system might be improved, based upon problems we had overcome at Ascent.

Worked with ITV in selecting clips from our analysis to be used in their TV highlights packages. Managed the processing department on several occasions when covering for staff holidays.
