Award-winning Editor (Figra 1995). I have edited both short and long forms programmes for major UK terrestrial broadcasters, Europeans, Americans, South Asian broadcasters and independents. Here are selected recent credits (see CV for full details and reference letters):
Editor, "The Art of Ama Ata Aidoo", 80 minutes made by Fadoa Films, UK
Winner of the Best Feature Length Documentary at the 5th Silicon Valley African Film Festival, October 2014.
The Art of Ama Ata Aidoo explores the artistic contribution of one of Africa's foremost woman writers, a trailblazer for an entire generation of exciting new talent. This feature-length documentary locates the multi-textured variety of Aidoo's writing in a cultural and historical context, and charts her creative journey through pivotal moments of inspiration in a life that spans 7 decades from colonial Ghana, through the tumultuous era of independence, to a more sober present day Africa where nurturing women's creative talent remains as hard as ever.
