Jonathan's Biography

I have a total of 18 years experience in TV, which has included work as a researcher and contributor to commission pitches. I've also worked as a camera operator on several corporate projects and on Blondie: No Exit, but mostly been involved with post production, specifically editing on non-linear systems. I am a highly experienced and trained Avid operator, and have recently acquired Apple FCP accreditation, together with training in Apple DVD Studio Pro.

As an ex-assistant in tape linear suites and a technician responsible for the installation of non-linear suites, I have good understanding of video and audio systems together with a grasp of video engineering.

I have experience in many forms of editing - for broadcast, for the corporate sector, for new media, and feel that I can contribute skills, experience and enthusiasm to each new project I am involved in.

I worked with Jonathan for a period of approximately six months on "The Last Word" for more4 produced by Objective Productions. The programme in question was a daily studio based topical debate programme including a number of VT inserts. Jonathan was one of two main editors and handled the pressure and fast turn around of the product with ease, maintaining a calm and creative mood in often fraught situations, mainly due to legal issues brought up in filming. It was Jonathan's responsibility to cut the VT's filmed that day and have them ready for rehearsal at 3pm and then once the studio wrapped to cut the show, maintaining a seamless looking show which would run to time.
Jonathan was always punctual and had a strong work ethic. I have to say it was a joy to work with Jonathan.
If you should require any further info. please don't hesitate to get in contact.

I cannot recommend Jonathan highly enough, in fact. He recently edited a half-hour short film over a period of 3 weeks for me and his work and attitude were exemplary. Jonathan was always punctual and fully committed at all times. He is an excellent offline editor who is creative, technically proficient but also works very quickly and meticulously.
In short, I would not hesitate to recommend Jonathan to your company.
Yours sincerely,
