Isabel's Biography

I am a FREELANCE DV Camera Op/Editor with Television and Online credits.

Previous work in News with "PA" and "BBC" has meant I've covered everything from Pressers, Parliament and Sport right through to Festivals and Red Carpet.  In Scotland with "PA" I worked as a VJ, operating a Z1 kit, editing on location, producing anything up to 4 news packages a day for Customers such as MSN, AOL, TISCALI, VIRGIN & NEWSQUEST.  BBC news packages were broadcast on "Look North" to the  East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire audience.

Other work includes 2 years coverage of Sailing and Watersports.   I travelled abroad regularly with iptv channel and production company "SAIL TV", working as Self-Shooting PD.  I worked on location in Brasil, Australia, Malaysia, Europe and North America.

I was also occasionally Camera Operator on a number of hour long programmes documenting these sailing events. Programmes are regularly aired on Eurosport and SKY.

I worked as a Researcher on the quiz show "National Geo-Genius." My work included verifying questions, creating a foreign pronunciation guide for the presenter, contacting contestants, and transcribing.

During this time, I also worked as Production Secretary on "That's Esther," contacting celebrity guests, arranging their transport, booking equipment and hire cars, making call sheets, up dating the schedule, and researching stories.

I trained through Skillset, obtaining an NVQ level 4 in Broadcast Journalism. I was part of team, who produce a half hour weekly news programme, which is broadcast to North and North East Lincolnshire. My role entailed, researching news stories, finding contributors, arranging the shoot, interviewing, and scripting/performing the voice over. I also worked as a VJ using a PD150, and edited using Final Cut Pro. My BBC Placement was with Look North in Hull for the month of October 2004.
