A freelance Videographer and Apple Certified Final Cut Pro User, Ben trained at the University of Sunderland, where he achieved a fine 2:1 degree. The course covered many different aspects of media production, including TV, Radio and New Media technologies, before specialising in TV for his final year. During which he received a first classification for his dissertation film, which he penned. Ben has specialised in corporate video production since graduating, and has developed his passion for compelling storytelling through editing, as well as contributing briefs and sketches for broadcast on BBC Radio.

2005 - Sound Engineer
Sound engineer and lighting director for a short documentary filmed whilst at university.

The role included external and internal shoots and this posed many challenges regarding capturing usable sound, most notably when filming at a public park where background noise was more than a little excessive.

On this shoot I faced a number of challenges, most notably creating atmospheric lighting for a scene set in the aftermath of a car crash.

• New Technology Institute Birmingham - 2010
Internship at a Birmingham based video production company. Editing and filming corporate videos, as well as presenting duties for a number of different projects. Creative lead for a project to redesign and create new content for the company's show-reel video. Clients have included Birmingham City University and The Macmillan Trust.

• Nuneaton Town FC 2008 - 2009
Filming and editing of football matches before hosting to the clubs Youtube page. Some voice over work, as well as preparing copy to accompany match reports.
