BBC trained, I've since gone on to make a wide range of acclaimed programmes for a global audience.
Recently I producing/directing a feature length drama-doc on the Titanic, from the Oscar and BAFTA winning makers of The King's Speech. Previous productions have included documentary (both presenter led and observational), drama, and drama documentary. My docs are often science based but have included historical, arts, and social/educational programmes. I work in a variety of styles, from glossy high-end pieces to more character based observational films. My drama (both pure fiction and drama doc) often deals with the emotional consequences of scientific and technological progress.
Programmes include the acclaimed observational documentary The Language Master, the science drama series' Making Astronauts and Learning to Love the Grey, Horizon and the drama-documentary series Disaster, all for the BBC. For Discovery Asia I established the series Crossings, in which I profiled the legendary Hong Kong star Jackie Chan and the Chinese actress and director Joan Chen (The Last Emperor). For Channel 4 I made the feature-length arts/science documentary The Da Vinci Detective.
On this site is my latest reel featuring, amongst others, clips from Fatal Attractions, which I series produced and directed for Animal Planet. Its style - using cinematic narrative and visual techniques borrowed from thriller and horror genres - is regarded in the industry as having created a new genre in Natural History prgramming and is the channel's biggest success of the year.

"It's the first piece of television in many years - or any entertainment format for that matter - that's deeply affected my opinion of what happened that night.
