With more than ten years in television I have worked on an broad range of experience of different genres . I have a lot of experience working with presenters, both familiar faces and new figures to television, and have directed large and small-scale drama inserts. I have directed and self shot observational material and made innovative archive and graphics based series. I come in on budget and enjoy collaborative work.
Several films that I have directed have won international awards including top prizes at the Trento and Telluride film festivals for Mountain Men, a CRE award for Violent Times, a Jules Verne Award for Icemen and a series Peabody for Dancing in the Streets.
Science: I have worked for BBC Science Department, making the well received An Experiment on a Bird in the Airpump for the Enlightenment season on BBC4
Travel: I have filmed all over the world from the Arctic to Cambodia to the Himalayas and have made travel films for BBC 2. I've done extreme environments training courses and
Music: I have made several music documentaries, including Dancing in the Streets for BBC2 and The King Meets the President for Channel 4.
Edit producer: I have worked as an edit producer for the OU I learning project and edit produced full length programmes for BBC4 and the OU.
Current Affairs: I directed Dispatches: Flooding (Channel Four) and recent made three short films for More 4 News, bringing back historical characters to report on contemporary events.
Development: I have done a lot of development at the BBC and independent companies. I developed, sold and produced Icemen for the BBC and The History Channel and Mountain Men for the BBC and TLC. I have recently developed and sold two books and have a movie script in pre-production with Universal.
Languages: Italian, French
