About Lee

  • Share profile:
I have worked for 6-7 years as an editor on short films, promos, commercials, corporate and community based projects, music videos and the odd feature. I have been working in London for 3 years now, originaly from the North East.

I am an editor and visual effects artist skilled in Final Cut Studio applications and the Adobe CS5 suite (After Effects, Photoshop) with a strong sense of narrative and a good eye for detail.

Recently I have been working as an After Effects compositor / animator and editor on Russell Howard's Good News Series 5 for BBC 3 and working with several other companies on commercial projects. I have also worked on a feature film for Blink and Pathe, Africa United, which contained some animated sequences.

In my spare time I have also been working with Beat24 productions on an online edit of their feature film 'Frontman' as well as editing and colour grading short films, some of which are winning awards in International Film Festivals.

I am experienced in Motion Graphic Design/Animation and have created several opening intros for live events, authored interactive DVDs and have a history in web design.

I've built up a wealth of on set and shooting experience and started wanting to work as a DoP - therefore have a good eye for composition, lighting and colour. I have recently gained experience with the Sony EX3 and Canon 5D Mark II tapeless format workflows aswell as dealing with RED footage as a DIT. Recent work has pushed me more into visual effects and I enjoy working on set, in some cases as the visual effects supervisor.

I am always on the look out for projects and am keen to develop my career and skillset with Avid systems and high-end visual effects compositors and therefore willing to take on short work experience placements on feature films and other high-end productions too.
