About Jonathan

  • Share profile:
For the past 18 years I've worked as a P/D on both landmark presenter led docs with high profile presenters such as Griff Rhys Jones, George Clarke, John Sergeant, Monty Don and Kevin McLeod as well as observational films for major broadcasters including the BBC, ITV, C4, Arte, Nat Geo and Discovery. Working across a wide range of issues and genres including history, architecture, archaeology, science, current affairs natural history and food programmes I have a wide spectrum of experience from the highly sensitive to the humorous and so bring a diverse range of skills. I have directed CGI and drama reconstruction sequences and have some DV & HD camerawork experience and final cut pro editing skills. I have also written and broadcast for BBC Radio 4's From Our Own Correspondent.

Credits include BBC2 "COAST",  "MOUNTAIN" and "RESTORATION" with Griff Rhys Jones and "5 WAYS TO SAVE THE WORLD", ITV1: "THE SANTA FILES WITH JOHN SERGEANT". National Geographic: "JOURNEY TO JUPITER", C4: "THE RESTORATION MAN", "GRAND DESIGNS" and "1900 HOUSE" and Discovery: "HOW DO THEY DO IT" and Arte "THE LAST ORANGUTANS OF SUMATRA".
