    Working in a Second Assistant Editor role, on director Ridley Scott's return to the Science Fiction genre. The film was shot in stereoscopic 3D at 5K on RED Epic, and cut at the offline stage in 3D at DNxHD 115 on Avid Media Composer Version 5.

    2011 - Editor, Assistant
    The popular BBC One drama series, shot on P2 and edited at AVC-Intra 100 on Avid Media Composer Versions 4 and 5. Duties included ingesting, labelling, and organising the rushes for the editors, DVD layoffs, pre-grade master layoffs to HDCam SR, AAF exports, video file exports, and adding episode credits. The role also required effective management of the Avid Unity system.

    Shot on RED and cut in Final Cut Pro, working at the offline stage with transcoded ProRes 422 clips. Worked as Assistant Editor during a one-week preliminary shoot. Principal duties were importing and syncing the rushes, and the general organisation of the Final Cut Pro project.

    Charley Boorman: Sydney to Tokyo By Any Means - Big Earth , United Kingdom

    The second in the series, again produced by Big Earth. Alongside the duties performed on the first series, this expanded role also consisted of cutting the series' opening sequence and numerous promo clips. The role also required the general administration of the entire project, running on Avid Unity, across a total of 5 edit suites, and 3 more Avid systems in the production office.

    Charley Boorman: Ireland to Sydney By Any Means - Big Earth , United Kingdom
    2008 - Editor, Assistant
    A six part series produced by Big Earth, initially broadcast on BBC2 then shown on National Geographic in 2009. Principal duties were the digitising and logging of rushes, and editing an assembly for each shooting day of around one hour, from between 5 and 8 hours of rushes. The role also involved adding graphics and voiceover to the locked cuts in advance of the online edit and tracklaying for the M&E mix, alongside directly liaising with and assisting the series' editors.

    2007 - Editor, Assistant
    Produced by Magnet Films, a feature-length British comedy directed by James Abadi. Principal duties as Assistant Editor included digitising telecined 16mm rushes from DigiBeta, digitising of audio from DAT, and syncing and subclipping each take. Other duties included an audio pass on the first assembly of the film.

    Employment History

    Ongoing           ITV / The London Studios
    Employed as part of the MCR Team at The London Studios, performing conforms, digicut and DVD playouts, OMFI and AAF exports, and digitising to both Avid and Cinegy systems, working with a wide variety of formats for both HD and SD delivery. Strong technical knowledge is required, as this often entails working alone on the overnight shift.

    Employed as a Technical Assistant in the Edit Support team. Principal duties include performing conforms, digitising, AAF/OMFI exports, FTP uploads and tape to tape clones, as well as editing various elements for programmes as and when required.

    Ongoing           Clear Cut Pictures
    Employed as part of the company's Offline Support Team. The role consists of providing direct support to clients in their suites, as well as dealing with all aspects of offline in the Main Control Room. These include digitising, digital delivery, and producing digicuts across various tape formats and on DVD. This role continues a solid working relationship with the company, begun with a period of employment here as a freelance runner between September 2007 and March 2008.

    Employed in a Junior Editor position, editing news and current affairs pieces for this press agency's website. These take the format of either self-contained pieces to be sold on to various clients worldwide, or as tasters for the full set of rushes which can be purchased by the clients.

    November 2008 - May 2009          The Underwater Channel

    Employed in an Assistant Editor role for The Underwater Channel, an internet television channel broadcast across the Babelgum network. Principal duties were assembling the offline cuts of each month's programming, mainly working to a format of either 7 or 14 minute pieces. Other duties included assisting with shooting, assisting with the online edits, and generally ensuring a smooth post-production process each month.

    December 2007 - May 2008           Moonbeam Films
    Digitising of footage, working four evenings a week as well as some weekend work, for the media review programmes 'The Listening Post,' and 'Election Post,' broadcast on Al-Jazeera English. The footage was digitised from a variety of tape formats, alongside the compression and importing of various file formats into both Avid and Final Cut edit systems. Also involved completing dubs and some FTP downloads as and when required by the role.

    August 2007 - May 2008           Alpha Star Films
    Employed on a freelance basis as an assistant, primarily to complete the editing of corporate projects and wedding videos. Role expanded to also assist when required on MCI shoots, as either assistant cameraman or sound recordist. An ongoing role due to being considered the company's first choice for any freelance work.
