    As an assistant editor, I have undertaken a wide-range of responsibilities including developing and testing post-production workflows; setting up post production administrative systems and co-ordinating the processing & transfer of rushes negative between labs and other post facilities. Additionally, I undertake day-to-day technical operations such as project media & server management; digitizing & syncing rushes; preparing and outputting media deliverables (OMFs/AAFs/EDLs/QTs etc); carrying out conforms & transcodes; creating international versions and trailers; completing the delivery of master materials to channels & networks in compliance with broadcasters technical specifications; co-coordinating the encode & uploads of assembly cuts to studio and production executives, as well as providing operational support to editors and troubleshooting and resolving technical issues.

    I have extensive experience managing media and HD tapeless workflows and am familiar with a variety of file formats and SD & HD tape decks. I have worked on features where I have been responsible for processing over 10,000ft of rushes per day (including ingesting, syncing & assembling). On my most recent television project, which was shot on the Arri Alexa, I handled over 600gb worth of media each day, this included quality checking footage as well as syncing rushes and creating 1st assemblies.

    I have also taken on additional responsibilities outside of my role as an assistant editor. These have included co-ordinating & organizing client viewings (including booking theatres & overseeing technical checks); assisting post production co-coordinators with completing post production paperwork including PASC forms & music cue sheets; as well as assisting with the creation of post production schedules to complement production schedules and meet delivery deadlines.

    I take a proactive and practical approach to all tasks & problem solving. I am used to working under pressure and to very tight deadlines, all the while maintaining very high standards. Additionally, in an industry where flexibility is essential, I am able to reprioritise at a moment's notice in order to meet sudden changes in deadlines & schedules.
