About Eilir

  • Share profile:

I have ten years of experience in directing acclaimed and award winning network TV programmes, which boast originality and an alluring, entertaining quality. I am driven passionately to make engaging and thought provoking television through skillful storytelling and a distinctive visual style.

My track record proves that I maintain successful working relationships with the subjects of my documentaries, many of which who have been filmed for a long period, often in harsh conditions. I believe that the understanding, empathy and trust involved in these relationships, where key to  the intimacy, honesty and access reflected in the work.

Since 2001, I have directed and produced high quality, innovative programmes, from prime time observational documentaries to lively presenter led children's television. I have become skilled in numerous aspects of television production; from pitching ideas at the commissioning stages to a highly competent self -shooter who is both sensitive and skillful in capturing those crucial moments.

I have achieved excellent results while directing and shooting documentaries in challenging conditions all over the world including India, Malawi, Kenya  and the Black Rock Dessert, Nevada.

Showreel DVD available on request, which includes a subtitled version of a 30 minute arts documentary I produced and directed for S4C entitled, "Hide and Seek and Father's Teeth".

Over the last ten years I have gained over 200 Directing Credits, mainly for television, a selected few are featured in the credits section below.
