About Damian

  • Share profile:
I am a self shooting PD with a visual flair, a background in journalism and a keen eye for narrative.

I have recently finished filming, producing and directing a new series for ITV 1, Nursing The Nation. Before that I have worked on award nominated documentaries such as 'Transplant', 'The Street That Cut Everything' and 'Neighbourhood Watched' all broadcast on BBC 1. And high profile C4 documentaries such as '15 Kids and Counting' and '999, What's Your Emergency?'.

I am a skillful self shooter in High Definition on Cannon XF305 and HD 750 cameras, as well as Standard Definition on DSR and Sony Z7 and Z1. More recently I have also shot on the Cannon 5d Mark II and C300.

My work has been mainly on access based observational documentaries where I build close relationships with contributors which becomes evident in the finished films.

With a love for the outdoors and an adventurous spirit, I thrive on location based shoots but also come into my own in the warmth of the edit suite!
