About Clare

    www.clarefisher.tv

As a highly experienced documentary series producer/director with 20 years in the media industry, I've worked on a huge spectrum of genres and subjects and still love the challenge of bringing new ideas to the screen.

Having specialised in observational films and presenter-led factual programmes, I'm very versatile, and have worked on series ranging from architecture and design, to science and natural history. I've also got a track record in factual entertainment, features, magazine shows, and one (cult-viewing!) reality TV show. My films have been aired on all the major terrestrial channels in the UK, as well as Discovery, Animal Planet, PBS and National Geographic in the States.

I've series produced four series and I'm used to producing and directing several programmes at once as a PD. I'm as skilled at directing multi-camera shoots, producing stylish features, as I am self-shooting intimate interviews in sensitive situations. From designer pads to war zones, I have filmed on just about every format from 16mm film to HD, to tapeless.

I've worked all over the world - including as an embedded journalist  for Discovery in Iraq, filming wildlife in India, Indonesia and Africa, even wilder life in New York. In all I have worked, and set up, shoots in 20 countries.

Constantly developing ideas, I have had 14 hours commissioned, including two series of K9 Boot Camp which I series produced.

I also have a passion for stills photography, Scotland and building houses...even built my own!
