Channel 4 - 2007 - 2010
Producing promos for Channel 4 Creative Services, creating the whole package from scripting to editing on both Avid and FCP, Working with Channel 4 Commercials including editing, ITC compliance, machine side editing, programme line-recording for transmission/edit, ingesting programmes onto broadcast server, monitoring/updating scheduling for C4/E4's broadband service during live broadcast. Encoding and formatting to platforms for C4's video on demand service. Liaise with MCR and Creative services regarding formats required.It's important I remain flexible to constantly changing deadlines whilst being professional.
The continuous introduction of new technology also requires that I am able to learn and execute new skills and my aptitude for this has led to my being made responsible for the technical training of both freelance and C4 employees.
The Farm - 2004 - 2007
Head digitizer. Responsibility for long format programmes being ingested and supporting colleagues in this process. Maintaining a constant line of information with production regarding progression of ingestion and ensuring the structure is held together. Checking equipment, and backing up footage onto storage drives.
