I have been working as a DoP / Lighting Cameraman for over 17 years, initially working with BSKYB on international news & features. Working around the world often in difficult circumstances, taught me how to work quickly and efficiently, making the most of each location. My interest in lighting and the wider creative possibilities of TV generally led to my going freelance in 1995.
Since 1995 I have been working in the fields of Documentary, Drama, Promo's, Factual, Lifestyle, Art & Entertinment, Reconstruction, Commercials and Corpoarte production.
I set up Bluefin TV in 1998 to supply the best in broadcast camera equipment and crewing. We supply a full range of camera, sound and lighting equipment and can supply all camera formats, including, RED, DSLR, HDCam, XDCam Digibeta, DVCam & HDV (Z1 / Z7). We supply a full range of sound & lighting equipment and 35mm + S16mm film packages.
Our crews are amongst the best in the industry and are all highly experienced in their respective fields.
In addition to regular filming we offer specialist filming operators in the fields of: Underwater, Aerial, SkiCam, Vehicle, Altitude, Covert and Mini-Cams
Our clients include all thr major broadcasters, independent production companies and PR / Digital Agencies.
We are BBC 'Approved Suppliers' and work regularly with BBC London, Manchester, Bristol and BBC Scotland.
We work with many clients from abroad too, notably the US, Canada & Australia, often acting as their London base for the duration of the filming.
Our post-production facilities include Apple Final Cut Pro edit suites and portable FCP laptop systems. Our established freelance editors all come from a broadcast background.
